Please enjoy these “action shots” taken at our last three women self defense workshops in Canton, Connecticut. Young and old, women learned the basic techniques to defend themselves and applied them immediately on our male volunteers.

“Every part of a woman’s body is a potential weapon – elbows, knees, butt, feet, head. Use it all to unleash the fury on your attacker.” – Kathy McAfee

Like mother, like daughter. Juliann and Charlotte come together to the women’s self defense workshop to discover their inner strength and learn some powerful techniques to thwart an attacker. They get to practice their techniques on willing volunteers.
Equip our young women. Don’t let your daughter go to college without a basic understanding and exposure to self defense. More than a credit card and school supplies, our young women need greater awareness and know-how to protect their personal safety.

“The session gave me confidence that I could defend myself with practice. It encouraged me to be more powerful. “ – Linda Pulford

“Now I feel prepared and ready to defend myself.” – Louisa Desson

“The workshop was very helpful. I learned valuable techniques that I can use to save my life.” - Lydia Tedone
To round out the workshop, we include stretching, discussion and meditation.

Join us for the next women’s self defense workshop or call (860) 693-0025 and speak with Mikael Anderson at Yu’s Academy of Martial Arts about how you can get enrolled.
